Impromptu Photo Shoot!
Yesterday was the last day of the school year, so to start off my summer vacation, my sister and I went down to Kaka'ako Waterfront Park to have a picnic lunch. The view of the ocean there is so gorgeous, that I couldn't resist the opportunity for a photo shoot of some of my handmade jewelry! In my last post, I featured the Skinny Pig Designs Signature Charm Bracelet. In addition to the charm bracelet, I also have a matching necklace and earrings that are also made with pink coral, sea green glass, white and brown seashells, iridescent gray freshwater pearls, and pink crystals. The earrings that I'm wearing also include genuine sea stars.

Skinny Pig Designs Signature Charm Bracelet
Summer is approaching and the weather is getting hot, so it's finally time to bring out the beach clothes and accessories! Here in Hawaii where it's summer almost year round, beach-inspired jewelry has been the rage and everywhere you turn, you see women wearing shells, coral, glass, and many other things that remind you of the ocean.
For several days, I kept having flashes of pinks and greens in my head everytime I thought about the ocean and it's colorful coral reefs. With that image in mind, I put together pink coral, sea green swirled glass, pink crystal, iridescent gray freshwater pearls, and white and brown cone seashells to form a charm bracelet. With it's whimsical colors and textures, this bracelet came to be known as the signature accessory that exemplified what the line was all about. It's fun to wear and is the perfect addition to any summer outfit!
Launch of Skinny Pig Designs Official Blog
Skinny Pig Designs is a handmade jewelry line that I created in Honolulu, Hawaii. I make jewelry that is inspired by the beach, the ocean, and the rest of my beautiful life here in Hawaii. I like to use a lot of seashells, coral, and glass to create original, feminine, and whimsical items that you can't find anywhere else. Everything is completely designed and handmade by me.
It's almost the start of summer vacation! With that, I would like to introduce the Skinny Pig Designs official blog!!! I'll be posting updates on my brand here regularly, so please check back daily to see what's new!
My jewelry can be purchased and sent anywhere around the world from my Etsy shop at http://skinnypigdesigns.etsy.com/ Please check it out!
